Connecting Students to Their Future

Diploma Plus Career Education

Role: Photography, Videography, Photo Essay Writing

Situational Analysis

Students, parents and teachers lack “brand awareness” of the Diploma Plus career education program; many participate in career exploration activities/experiences without realizing these opportunities are part of a strategic plan to graduate work-ready students. To stay on track with 2025 enrollment goals, awareness needs to increase across the board.

Strategy

The community loves to see student stories, so we put them front and center. We used the Public Relations department’s communication streams — social media and digital newsletters — to promote student-focused content that highlights the diversity of experiences available to students, Kindergarteners through seniors, through the Diploma Plus program.

Deliverables

  • Video series highlighting valuable student experiences that emphasized student voice

  • Program overview video

  • Photo essay newsletter
